And as usual we are all over Europe making friends, meeting customers, and pitching to investors. Read all about it right here, and don’t forget to follow us on LinkedIn to stay updated.

Sustainable power supply – this is what we do

As always, everything we do in TEGnology is based on thermal energy harvesting technology, where we convert heat directly into electricity. Depending on how the electricity might be used, we are addressing different industrial markets with focus on digitalization of the process monitoring industry.

Along with increasing demands on process efficiency, lower CO2 footprint, safety assurance and life-cycle-tracking, the number of industrial wireless sensors is increasing significantly.

TEGnology provides a sustainable power supply solution to these sensors at zero cost of ownership, a minimum environmental footprint, no compromise on battery lifetime, unlimited resources to send data and that allows you to position sensors in places not feasible for being supplied by a battery or cable connection. Enabling sustainable process optimization and cost saving.

Special award for our sustainability approach

TEGnology has won a special award for our sustainable approach from Start.up! Germany Tour’s partner NRW.BANK. The price was awarded on the 26th of October in Düsseldorf.

NRW.BANK considers sustainability an important business factor and with the special award the bank recognizes our technology as a business idea with great potential in the green transition.

We look forward to the possibilities that this prize can offer us in further promoting our activities in Germany.

We would like to express our great thanks to the German-Danish Chamber of Commerce for introducing us to this program. As well as to IHK NRW, AHK, DIHK, Ruhr IHK, IHK Düsseldorf and IHK Köln and its partners: the Ministry for Economics, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, NRW.Global Business GmbH and NRW.Bank for conducting this amazing event.

Providing data for the green transition

District heating can play a huge role in the green transition and with the current energy crisis, Denmark is planning to roll out district heating to more households even faster.

Our technology allows energy companies to harvest data from otherwise hard-to-reach places. As the pipes transport hot water, the conditions are perfect for thermoelectric generation, and with our products there is no need to gain access to the pipes to change batteries.

Ongoing projects
We are already participating in projects regarding district heating, and we met these partners and several other interesting people at the annual meeting of the Danish District Heating Association on 27-28 of October.

The main theme was the acceleration of the green transition in Denmark, and we were more than 2200 participants from all over the country, including ministers, politicians, leading businessmen, energy experts and many others.

We would like to thank Dansk Fjernvarme (Danish District Heating Association) for organizing the event.

Meeting 2,000 startups and 1,000 investors

On November 2-4, we are attending the Web Summit 2022 in Lisbon.

Originating in Dublin, Ireland, the Web Summit has set itself the mission of organizing events around the world to gather some of the founders and CEOs of technology companies, fast-growing startups, policy makers and heads of state, who are tasked with redefining the technology industry.

Members corner: Meet Aviv Heimann Zvi

Aviv has joined our team in September 2022. She is currently in the final year of her degree in BSc. International Business in Asia at CBS and will be our marketing intern as part of her studies.

Aviv was born in Denmark but grew up in Israel. Due to increased curiosity to get to know the Danish grain of her family better, she decided to move to Denmark in 2016.

In the past couple of months, Aviv has experienced the often-changing work setting when running a start-up company. She claims, however, that these circumstances only increased her work motivation and professional knowledge. Moreover, she says that being part of such a small team makes her always feel welcome and was surprised by how much room is given for listening to her own suggestions and ideas at the beginning of her internship.

Her hobbies include practicing yoga, knitting and crocheting, hiking in nature, reading books and hanging out with her friends or visiting her family in Nykøbing F. on the weekends.
